NEOKIZ WEEKEND DANCE WORKSHOP

Kizomba is a traditional dance from Angola that blends Latin and African cultures in a sensual form that resembles merengue mixed with ballroom dance. This vibrant tradition has recently taken on new life in North America when combined with hip hop culture, creating what people are calling neokiz!
On July 26-28, one of the architects of neokiz will be teaching how to dance in this exhilarating new style! Charles Ogar has years of teaching experience and a deep passion for Kizomba and neokiz. If you want to move with someone special, come to this workshop and learn to really move!
 

BIG SUGAR

Big Sugar is the quintessential Canadian touring band, playing all across this country and wowing crowds everywhere without exactly being a household name.

Big Sugar has been around for decades now, slinging classic style rock and blues with a contemporary feel. They turned heads with hits like “Turn The Lights On,“ “Digging a Hole,” and “All Hell For a Basement.” They’re absolutely electric live, and they’ll be playing an outdoor concert at Nanaimo’s Maffeo Sutton Park on July 19!
