There are some INCREDIBLE concerts coming up this April in Nanaimo! From country to classical and everything in between, Nanaimo is a great place to see live music.
Check out these upcoming shows!

GEORGE CANYON

If you’re a fan of country music, then George Canyon needs no introduction. This Juno-award winning country music star has toured the country time after time, bringing his brand of road-worn wisdom to towns across this great nation. Back in 2004 he was the runner up in Nashville Star, the country music version of American Idol. He’s written plenty of hits like “I’ll Never Do Better Than You,” “I Believe in Angels” and “Drinkin’ Thinkin’.” Polish your boots, put on your hat and check out Canyon at the Queen Theatre on April 22 or 23!

DANY MICHEL

Canada’s Dany Michel is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets. His varied and rich catalogue can broadly be defined as “indie,” but Michel writes music that is as inventive and fun as it is emotional and powerfully performed. He’ll be at the Port Theatre on Wednesday, April 24 and if you’ve never seen him before this is your chance to discover your new favourite artist!

SYMPHONY OF THE STARS

Saturday, April 27 at the Port Theatre see the Vancouver Island Symphony perform INFINITY: Star Wars and Holst’s Planets! This powerful show will combine these classic pieces with state of the art animations from NASA showing the majesty of outer space! It will be like a trip to the best planetarium you’ve ever seen. Don’t miss out!

Nanaimo is filled with music – all you have to do is walk downtown and follow your ears and chances are you’ll find someone playing something beautiful. Stay in the heart of that experience and book a room at the Best Western Dorchester Inn!
