Spring comes early to Nanaimo! If you’re getting tired of winter (who could blame you) then come to Vancouver Island this march to party the blues away!

BACONBEVYBASH

Nanaimo’s newest celebration of food and drink! The Nanaimo BaconBevyBash is exactly what it says on the box: a festival dedicated to showcasing the best of bacon, beer and booze in as many exciting combinations as Nanaimo’s best chefs and brewers and muster!

Taking place on March 15 at the Beban Social Centre on Bowen Road, this event features tapas-style bacon creations by Nanaimo’s Picadilly Bistro, each one showcasing the delicious smoked meat in a slightly different style and combination to illustrate just what can be done with this incredibly flavourful ingredient! Experience locally smoked bacon in all its forms: thick-cut, hickory-smoked, Applewood… we’re already salivating.

And that’s not all! The “Bevy” aspect of the Bash will also be well represented! Some of Nanaimo’s favourite breweries will be there, including Longhorn, Hoyne, White Sails and Wolf Brewing, but you can also try wines from 40 Knot and Lang Vineyards, Merridale and Raven’s Moon Ciders, as well spirits from Arbutus and Pacific Rim Distilling! Whatever your preference for drink, you’ll find something work experiencing at the BaconBevyBash 2019!
